The Ottawa Race Weekend puts on a series of incredible races every year. This year, every participant of the family 2K received a beautiful hand carved medal all the way from a community in Cameroon.

Ottawa Race Weekend’s purchase of these medals helps to put $10,000 into Cameroon’s local economy. A crew was sent to Cameroon to record the process of cutting down coconuts, stripping the bark, sanding them down, shaping them, and hand carving thousands of medals. After the video was shot, Halogen Marketing edited the video down, placed the clips together, added the text, and uploaded it to YouTube. See the video below.
